CHAPTER EIGHT- THE CONFRONTATION
The Asian woman interrupted our awkward three- way silence. “I kill them dead,” she said clearly and angrily. She was looking straight at me. I had no idea what to say.
Just then a woman ran into the clearing. She was gasping for air and clutching a stitch in her side. “THEY’RE HERE!” she screamed. “THEY HAVE US SURROUNDED!”
Everyone broke into a panic. “How did they find us?” “What are we going to do?” “Who ate my bowl of ramen? I left it right here on the log and somebody fucking ate it…”
“Don’t you get it?” someone asked ramen guy angrily, “The aliens found us!”
“They always find us,” he said dissmisively. “Then we get away and celebrate and move somewhere else and the whole thing starts all over again.”
“QUIET!” barked Chin. I was starting to realize he was the leader. “They never travel in more than twos or threes. There is no way they have us surrounded… which way did you hear them coming from?” he addressed the woman gasping in the center of the clearing.
“Down… that…. way…” she pointed towards where the Asian woman was standing.
“We’ll just have to move back down slowly, before they—” he stopped in shock.
The tall man and his son emerged into the woods right behind the Asian woman. She didn’t seem to notice. She was looking at me with narrowed eyes.
There was complete silence. Everyone stared in horror at the two men.
“We. Want. Jeff. Goldbloom,” the tall man said. His eyes seemed to widen and then shut. He swayed slightly like some strange weed in the wind.
“We don’t have him,” Chin said bravely.
The Asian woman turned so slowly it took me a moment to realize she was now facing the aliens.
“You kill my famiwy,” she accused brokenly.
The tall man looked at her.
The Asian woman reached into her purse so casually, as if she had meant to do it all along, that nobody thought to stop her, not even the aliens.
She withdrew a gun and shot the tall man in the face.
Then she shot the younger man.
She turned toward me with the gun in her hand. I couldn’t breathe.
“I all better now,” she said with relief before dropping the gun onto the ground.
CHAPTER NINE- HOW IT ALL ENDED
Everything went back to normal, at least for most of us. I decided to go back to college and try to get myself some education. I also decided to start going to church again. I figure anyone who can’t thank God for what happened in the woods is a real jerk.
Damian is alive. We haven’t spoken and I don’t plan on ever talking to him again.
Me and Raven are now together, and by “together” I mean we talk once in a while on the phone and I daydream about him constantly. One of these days I promise you I’ll get him plastered enough to hook up with me.
The Asian woman, incidentally, is actually half Mexican. Her name is Maria and she’s now my best friend. She admitted she had a nervous breakdown after her family, which actually consisted only of her dog Furball, died, and that she had always wondered if aliens were to blame. We’re actually going down to the casino this weekend. I’m hoping Raven will meet us down there.
As for all of you I know your thinking this story is ridiculous.
Isn’t life ridiculous?
I guess all we can really do is laugh- at ourselves and everything else.

It is somewhat ridiculous. But not the Ridiculous.
This is one of the longest stories on the site, and definitely one of the better reads! although, I don’t think I ever read the whole thing, I did listen to it!
I think that this is a logical conclusion. She would have to be half Mexican.
