As you grow and develop more
The flames of your life becomes stronger
But one fateful day
A cloaked handsome figure shall enter your life
His walk is perfect
His actions, that of a gentleman
But he will not lower his hood
You become entranced by his movements
You want to move closer
All the while
Your flame is diminishing
When finally he invited you to dance
He lowers his hood
You see his true self
The death you have tried to avoid
Perfectly beautiful
In your final hours, he romances you as a suitor
Searching for the mate he has lost forever
At your final moment
He lowers his head to you
To lightly kiss your lips
Bestowing upon you the death once given his beloved
As you die
He kneels at your feet
And extinguishes your flame
By his side hang 2 pouches
He gathers the ashes of your life
And dumps half in each pouch
He spreads the ashes of one pouch
>Over the minds of those who knew you
The second pouch he takes to the top of the highest mountain
And throws your ashes into the wind
So you may be in the memories of those you love
And may fly forevermore<
As your ashes drift away
He kneels and mourns another love lost

I personally really liked this one. Death sneaks up on all of us.
This was….wow! this was in a way beautiful. I know death isn’t necessarily beautiful, but it’s inevitable. Furthermore it’s going to come to all of us, some more vicious than others. I loved your word play in this, and how you made death as a figure of seduction of sorts. To be honest, I would like to die this way and have my ashes spread as you have so vividly put it. Nicely done indeed.
