My Morning Story – March 9th Update –

Good Morning My Morning Story users.  There has been many updates throughout the past few weeks that I hope you are all using to the fullest.

1st:  My Morning Story is now receiving enough stories to add 2 per day.  I hope this is a permanent change and that you all keep signing up and adding your own stories to the site.  Keep in mind if you add comments, I will try to get your story up quicker.  

2nd: We have added a new member to our MYMS staff – Marissa She will be conducting all podcasts aka (audio stories) for the site, so if you have any questions for her don’t hesitate to contact her on her personal page.

3rd. Author of the week.  What is it? and How do I choose?  Author of the week was integrated to get certain users more hits on his/her work as well as their own personal page and website.  Authors of the week are chosen by amount of stories added, how many times they comment, and how well their stories are written.  I implemented this in hopes that all of you will become more active on the site.

4th.  Ratings on stories.  That is right, you can now rate each others stories and comments to.  I thought this would be a great thing to add being able to show users what others thought of their work with out having to write anything down.

Now! On to the new stuff!  What is happening behind the scenes? What isn’t happening behind the scenes and more.

1st.  My Morning Story has an issue with getting comments to the authors email after his/her story has been posted.  I have contacted the web developer and we are in works to come up with a healthy solution.  Also, users are not receiving an email once their story has been posted – we are considering sending out an email for this as well. Please leave us a comment and inform us on how you would like to be informed, if you do or do not.

2nd.  The most popular page on the website has clearly been the forums, but there also has been a lack of activity.  I am looking forward to more of you commenting on the forums and bringing new questions and ideas to the table.  Someone emailed me today asking about Poetry lessons. I thought this would be a great idea to add in the forums.  For those of you that watch TV and Movies, The forums THRIVE for entertainment. After all that is what MyMS is – Entertainment

3rd. I am constantly modifying the profile page and the write a story page as well. I hope that in the near future both of these pages are a bit more cleaned up, and easier for you to use.  This is again something I have been discussing with the web developer.

4th. We are still working on using a Book program to add the Novels and Novellas to  it.  This would be for those of you that want to write longer stories but also want the reader to feel engaged as he/she is reading.  Sort of like the Kindle or the Ipad that is coming out, this will be one of the biggest features implemented at My Ms.
