Brain imprisoned by discontent
hands shackled by steel
This dream takes me to a place
where i simply cannot feel.
I’ll sit upon my pedestal
where my emotions i shrug off
To the place I visit often
to where I can never get enough.
As I plummet into the abyss
to where sometimes i can’t even stand
into vile, viscous visions
wishing to be back in my dreamland.
Reality promises to come back quick
with the fury of a phoenix
But tonight I sail back to that dreamland
on the river styx.

Interesting, powerful poem full of imagery.
