Cavin could not believe Jeanne was sleeping right next to him. Softly she snored into her pillow, her side going up and down as she breathed.
They were going to be married in eight months and decided it was time to move in together after Jeanne’s lease expired. Both had taken time off of work to move and get used to living together.
Good story… an opportunity to check-mark his bucket list! I remember doing the same thing to a past boyfriend..it was like stuffing cotton into my ears. He woke up and said, “Try sucking it first”. I rolled my eyes and thought to myself “I really wasn’t trying to THAT much effort into it! ….Ha!
This was a neat slice-of-life fantasy. Just be careful when you write something more character-based like this that you’re not just bringing the reader on a passive ride. The first few paragraphs especially I didn’t feel like I was being involved in the story. It just seemed to be happening with no real rhyme or reason.
