Public Enemies is one of those movies that is a slow movie, and it definitely lets you know its a slow movie right from the beginning. I kid you not when I say that the first two minutes of the entire film is two men walking into a prison. I’ll give it points in this regard, since it doesn’t lead you to believe that it’s some hip ganster movie in the beginning and then utterly fails you 1/3 of the way through. Year One
I can’t lie, this movie took me by surprise. Yes, I expected it to be an o.k. movie, but nothing like what I saw. Â In the commercials they show a few scenes from the movie, and one watching doesn’t have a strong idea of much plot at all. Angels & Demons
Angels and Demons the first book written by Dan Brown followed by The Davinci Code, actually reversed the steps when brought into the theatre. The Davinci Code realeased in 2006 , had an extremely strong following but people walked away with problems: The movie was too long, It was slow, and way to hard to understand. Too much talking and not enough happening. These were the things I heard, and apparently so did director Ron Howard. Â
Angels and Demons solved most of these problems by creating new ones. The good news is, the “new problem” are far less severe. Â (more…)
